Cant access to "my computer"
Hello All,
I hope someone can help me with this problem.
I also had the SPRINGFLD_ADV_DAEMON message saying the system was unable to find the entry getIUMS in the dynamic library MSDART.DLL
(Sorry for my bad translation : my first language is French)
I tried all the solutions i found on your board without any change.
I was still unable to reach the "my computer" zone. My system cant find it.
I decide to reformat and reinstall. Everything seemed ok ... till, once again, "my computer" was unavailable. I say once again cos i cant identify what program is doing that. I already reformat 3 times yesterday with no result.
Any clue about what's happening here ?
Thans for your help.
Alain

Bonjour brigadier and welcome to Windrivers forum,
I did a little Google search and Found that your problem is somewhat related to OfficeXP Hand and Speech recognition - http://forums.techguy.org/t235480.html and here http://www.experts-exchange.com/Oper..._20914310.html (related to the blothed MDAC)
Did you install Office XP on the Machine.
can you get to My computer by - Start-> run -> Explorer?
Au revoir (hope I spelled it correctly),
Gabriel

You need the windows mdac update - go to windows update and office update.
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."
