another thing that made my computer do that (it's a 524w) is a switch above the power cord that's red; I just moved the switch. Sometimes that beeped and sometimes it didn't though. But yeah, most of the time it does that for me it's just a fan that is blocked. They should put casings over the fans so that it doesn't do that....

GCAP what you advise here is dangerous - it alters the voltage input expected from the electricity. If you have a 110 volt/220 volt switch in the USA and it is switched wrong, then yes the computer will not work.
If you are in the UK and you switch it to 110 volts and the input is 220 volts, you blow up the powersupply taking the motherboard, processor, ram and usually the drives with it.
I take your point that the switch must be in the right position, but it is important to know which country you are in and what the voltage supplied to the power supply should be!
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."

Lol, Thanks. It worked on mine and nothing blew up on either switch, so I just assumed that that's fine. I hope I haven't blown up anyone's computer already.
