    "Out Of Range"

hey i was playing an online game on the internet...and suddenly my comp went to a black screen with a box saying "Out Of Range"....and then something like

    77hz-85hz
    125khz-150khz

those arent the exact numbers...but something like that...anyone know what that means?

    Hi Chaseums,

The message is not from Windows, but from your Monitor. It means it cannot display the current output. The game you were playing asked to change to a resolution your monitor can't handle.
When you re-booted the PC, was the monitor working ok?
what game was it? What resolution were you in at the time? Type and size of monitor. OS version?
It is also possible that your graphics card went a little wobbly - perhaps over heating if you'd been playing a while.

    Welcome to Windrivers chaseums

If you cannot get it back, you should be able to boot to safe mode and set the refresh rate and resolution from there. Press f8 just before windows starts to load.

Sounds like the game is snapping into a resolution that your monitor cannot handle. My suggestion would be to reinstall the game.
