Ex. HD Case + Maxtor HDD
I went out yesterday and got myself an ePRO HDD Enclosure (with fan) and a Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 9 - 120GB ATA 133 HDD. I am pleased
A few questions on ex. hdd though,
1] Should i do the "safely remove" option in the taskbar when i finish using the drive? OR is it OK to just shutdown and that takes care of it?
2] Is there any way I can set it to turn off automatically when I shut down my PC?
3] Any tips?

safely remove option is there if you want to unplug it before shutdown.
Does it have it's own powersupply?

What do you mean by adapter? Does it supply power to the hard drive independently of the computer?

YEs it came with an adapter that connects directly to AC power and then plugs into the EXTERNAL Case.

Then no, because the ac adapter is not intelligent. It might power down when idle with it's own firmware, but the ac adapter will still be warm and using power.
