I take it none of you have read the Dark Knight Returns graphic Novel by Frank Miller?
In this story, an older Batman uses a tank-like batmobile and gives Superman the beating of his life.
Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. -Douglas Adams

There is a lot of hype for this movie. Hopefuly this rather dumb looking batmobile is not an indication of the quality of the movie.

Yeah, but this isn't the Dark Knight Returns graphic novel by Frank Miller.
Sorry, but to me, the Batmobile should be...no - needs to be - a sleek, turbo charged torpedo of a car, with jet propulsion. Sadly, other than the first Tim Burton movie, the animated series was the only time WB has gotten Batman & his enemies & environment right. Maybe they should see if Bruce Timm can write & direct live action...

You mean they might use elements of the original that probably won't play to 99% of the mass market commercial idiot crowd? You've got to respect that.

No, not anything from the original, a Frank Miller graphic novel. I like Miller and all, but his work is usually not canon or recognized in the continuity, sort of like a Marvel What If.
But on the bright side, the two villians for this one are Ras Al Ghul & Scarecrow, two of my favorite villians, so maybe there's some hope. I'd like to see a good Clayface, though.
