Question Avoiding taskbar to toast if message in MSN msg recieved?

    Hi,

i'm using windows XP and my taskbar is set to auto hide. If i recieve a message in MSN msg, the taskbar shos up automatically. It's very annoying, because it would hinder the adress list in my opera.
I tried TweakUI and activated the option "prevent application from stealing focus" but it didn't work

Any idea how to avoid the taskbar toasting?

PS: in windows 98 the taskbar doesn't toast if you recieve a message

    thx

    Use trillian instead?
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."

The only thing I can suggest is checking the preferences for how msn notifies you have a new message... I don't use msn, I use trillian and never had a problem as you describe with it.
