Outlook 2000 problem
Okay, i'm working on my bosses computer running Win 98. he has an Outlook 2000 problem. basically, on friday, NAV 2002 quarantined Outlook.PST. i've tried the 'restore' and 'repair' but that didn't seem to work. he can open Outlook, but just created a new account and theres basically nothing there. i'm trying to recover that Outlook.pst file that contains all his email, contacts, etc. i've run the Scanpst.exe tool, but when i searched for outlook.pst in the NAV folder, all i found were some other filenames, but fairly large (940 mb) i still ran the tool, but it didn't fix the problem. i've also run Spybot, Trend micro on line, NAV and hijackthis. has anyone come across this problem with outlook.pst and NAV? i've done some googling, but haven't found a solution to this problem yet.
I think the problem is either an ID10T or PEBCAK error

I don't think you can do anything with the file until you remove it from quarantine. I forget how you do it, but you should be able to override Norton. I think you would then want to scan the individual emails to track down the one with the virus.
Probability factor of one to one...we have normality, I repeat we have normality. Anything you still can't cope with is therefore your own problem.
