CCIE certification questions
I have just started a college course that will help me get my CCNP in two years, but I would like to work towards my CCIE (Security) certification. Is there any specific certifications for Routing and Switching that would be a help to have before I try for the CCIE?

CCIE is top of the heap and cisco advise 3 to 5 years of hands on experience.
I suppose you could just learn the subject but there is a practical exam as part of it.
more info here : http://www.cisco.com/en/US/learning/...ity/index.html

If you're serious about the CCIE I'd invest the cash in one of those CCIE kits on Ebay. Big bucks for all those routers/switches but it'll pay off.
