Try it... it either will boot or it won't. It's about the voltage supplied to the processor as well as the bios programming. Got a link to front connector information?

Cut and paste tha above to IE address bar - it is obviously possible to find Dell Service manuals on line BUT they don't seem to want to let you copy the url for some reason.

Anyway, when it wouldn't ley me copy it, I went to the address line right side, arrowed back, added a single quote, arrowed across, added another single quote, THEN I could copy and paste.

Go figure.

i got the power and leds working, I think, but now i don't have any video. wheh i turn it on it dosn't even give me a single beep unless i have the bios Jumper in the RCVRY Position(according to the board) jumper settings are:

1-2 - normal
2-3 - Config
off - RCVRY

in RCVRY mode the mobo attempts to load a new BIOS from Diskette,
but when after it reads the disk(i Still have no picture durring this)
it gives me a low pitched single beep that repeats until i turn off the system.
power works like it should in the other positions(4-sec hold to turn off)

the only thing that make sense is that it dosn't like my 450 p3

I don't know if you folks are still interested after several months... but I just got a similar mobo hand-me-down, and searching E139761 didn't get me anywhere. But the Intel support site recognized a number from the solder (back) side of the board.

Mine is "Intel Type: SE440BX2", right next to the FCC logo, directly opposite the processor's heatsink. Result = PDF product spec (http://www.intel.com/support/motherb...cs-013640.htm).

Hopefully, using your Intel Type # will get the info you're after.

PS- I didn't look up the FSB on a P3-450, but the max FSB on this mobo is 100 MHz.

P3 450 is the first katmai. S spec's are at below website.450 is a 100MHZ.

I ran across this one too... and its really helped me, I'm tearing apart my daughters old computer, figure if I ruin it, no harm no foul, just trying to teach myself about them, as I'd like to eventually build my own.

As of right now it runs, lol.... but I don't know by the time I get with it. The motherboard is the E139761, thats all I know to tell you, it has a processor that is this one, I'm pretty sure.

Slightly irrelivent but ill post it never the less

if you still need the info on the front panel connector pins i can get it for you

The front panel connecter is actually pin compatable with a Tyan Trinity 400 board as i found out on the off chance of trying my other board

Quite convienent as I had a Dell Dimension XPS D233 case with a Tyan Trinity 400 running a Pentium 3 1ghz coppermine in it... Rather sleeper style :P The Trinity supports both socket 370 and slot 1 processors aswell

As said if youve tried to replace the powersupply on a Dell board unfortunately for you either the PSU or the board itself or both are now fried

Thats the PDF Manual including the correct pins for power switch and led etc which is pin compatable with the Dimension D233 (E139761) which ive also found out is a foxconn motherboard design
