Profile Copy issue
When I copy a profile over to the default profile so whom ever logs in will have the same profile. But something I noticed.. The original profile (my documents folder) retains the same name.. so for instance you create the main profile as user XYZ and copy the profile so when ABC logs in, if you goto there profile in windows it says xyz's documents.. You will not see there docs and only yours but XP will not allow you to change to name either..
Anyone ran across this..?
thanks
Scott

There's the file desktop.ini in the folder for My Documents, and also My Recent folders (you'll see another in Music and Pictures folders within the My Documents folder). You must switch off the option to hide protected operating system files in the folder options to see it. I typically delete all the files and folders in My Documents when you are setting up a customized Default User Profile folder (also My Recent). You'll see what I mean once you delete the file, the "folder name" changes immediately!

Here is what I tried..
Searched c:\ for desktop.ini
but I only found 2 - one under c:\windows and the other under c:\windows\sys32
deleted both of those.. deleted a user account profile.
rebooted and logged on as a different user and it still shows the other person's name (scott's documents)
Did I miss something and forget to do something..?
thanks
Scott
