    xp boots to safe mode

this one is blowing my mind. customer brought this in yesterday. and when it trys to load into windows it gives an error message that says Value creation failed " at line 422 i found on another forum that someone fixed it by putting the hdd as a slave in another system and removed spyware and virus that way and it worked. i found to virus one of which was in the host file don't remeber what the virus name was right now. i'll see if i can find it. also removed probally a couple hunderd files with ad-aware. so i put it back in the system it came out of and now everytime it boots it goes into safe mood. even though it looks and says it is booting normally. when it gets into saymode every says it is in safe mode. (ie. Dialog box and the word safe mode in all four corners of the wallpaper) anybody have any ideas. it is an HP pavalion 753n running WIN XP. any help would be greating appreciated.

Some of system files were probably corrupted or deleted with viruses... I would recommend to backup his data to another HDD and recover XP from hidden recovery partition. You should press F10 during boot for that...
Probably it will be the fastest (and IMHO, the best way) to deal with infected PCs)...

that is probally what i'll have to do. i'm currently running antivirus and ad-aware on his system in safe mode to see if there is anything else infecting the system. i'll let you know how it turns out.
