    Question Windows 2000 Router

I have two networks that I need linked together.

    Network 1: 192.48.x.x
    Network 2: 192.168.2.x

I need to be able to access Network 2 from Network 1.

I have a Multihomed server with two NIC's, one for each network. I have installed RRAS but have been unsuccessful in getting them to router.

    What am I missing?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Did you set your gateway?

Yes, I have a gateway set for the Network 1 interface.

I do not have one for Network 2.

What are the IP settings of one of the workstations, specifically the default gateway?

I assume your server/router is .1? Each network needs to be pointed at its appropriate gateway in order to make the "turn" between the segments.

You can also enable RIP on both connections and it should then route.
With a multihomed machine you need to route one subnet to the other.

Thanks for your help! I appreciate it.

I turned on RIP and set the default gateway and everything seems to be working.
