Help with com port
I a Biostar motherboard AMD2 geforce 6100 and have download all drivers and bios is up to date. I am running xp pro sp2. My problem is I can not get 9 pin serial port to work. In device manager my com ports have code 10 error. any help out there I have serach the enternet for 3 month and found nothing.

Welcome to Windrivers rod641
You need to go into bios and completely disable the com (serial) ports and then start the computer. Check in device manager that the comports are not there. Then go back into bios and turn them back on again. Start the computer, XP should then detect and install them properly.
If they don't, post again, there are a number of other things that can cause this... but you will need to post the model of your biostar motherboard and what devices you attach to the serial port.

I enter bios an disable all of my port setting an rebooted an they were still there so I unstalled them an rebooted an they were there agian. this is my Board: C51MCP51
