Epson 1520 vs Norton 2004 Pro?
Help
System 98SE, with 2004 NAV pro.
Having had to re-format HDD, I have tried loading printer drivers etc. from Epson disk, when I try to print I get spooler error message. I have tried drivers from Epson site, with the same problem. Printer will do epson self tests etc. but will not print windows test page.
Spooler error message reads """". Is Norton causing this, do I have a bug hiding that Norton has missed?
Should I throw printer or myself from top of a tall building? Epson help blame Norton, Norton help blame epson and suggest using windows disk drivers, when I try this setup windows cannot find EPCTRL.DLL on any disk I own!
I really need a detailed blow by blow of what to do here!!
or the address of a tall building.

Welcome to Windrivers Andy8legs
Have you got an updated driver from Epson? Are your windows updates all done? Is this a usb or parallel connected printer?
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."

In your bios setup, what is the parallel port set to?
Normal? ecp? epp?
What about device manager?
And now for the easy suggestion... have you tried changing the printer cable?
