win2k pro won't boot w/ radeon 7000
my win2k p3 machine won't boot with a radeon 7000, it hangs at the windows boot screen, has anyone else had this problem?

Tried going into safe mode and removing all of the previous drivers?

yes, it doesn't help. Also, I cannot install the radeon drivers while the hardware is unplugged.

Hi Dan, Thats a very OLD but stable vga card. Did your pitter boot before w/some other VGA? Maybe the 7000 is broken? You can get a NEW 32mg SIS 315 for $20 dollars. or ... It could be an IRQ conflict. Did you ad any other PCI cards? If so take them out. Heck try taking all pci cards out eXcept the 7000 just to see if it boots. For a pitter to boot it only needs video, ram, and a keyboard. Always UNPLUG the power cord when installing or uninstalling PCI cards. I have killed 1 or 2 cards by forgetting to do an unplug.
