ASUS A7N8X-X Sound Troubles No Sound
Hello, Hope someone can help. Using XP Pro, I want to use ASUS A7N8X-X on-board sound, familiar with regular setup of speakers etc, so I know nothing is muted, I know I have the newest drivers installed, and I have the speakers plugged into correct jack...but still I get no sound.
I have searched the internet and websites of asus and nvidia. None can help.

It seems if u search on google, many ppl have just given up and gone with a dedicated sound card instead!

Thanks speakers work fine, its not that...
and I'm not giving up, if this motherboard boasts such amazing performance, then I wanna see it. I refuse to let ASUS get away with people just giving up and using a seperate soundcard...

rico in multimedia applet in control panel, what is the playback and record devices listed?
Are these surround sound speakers or just standard stereo ones? What colour jack is it plugged into?
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."
