Invasion - Assistance required
Well after Camaro80z's suggestion, here is a call to arms for all non-US WD members...
After the poor showing in their last election which led to Mr Bush being in charge, I have declared that should the next election resemble such a fiasco, then the UK will move back in and revoke the independence of the US of A.
At the moment I appear to be standing alone on the shores of the Cornwall with a bag full of scones and teabags, ready to invade and create the county of America, which we will twin with some dodgy place in France somewhere.
So all those in favour stick your names below.... oh and I'll need someone to volunteer to hand out the sandals and knotted handkerchiefs.

Bring the cat with you, it'll keep the alligators in check when we hit Florida.

Don't think it matters, we'll give them all a nice British name like Bob...

Forgive the intrusion of a colonial into this jolly old thread, but it's alligators over here. And, remember to pack plenty of those baggy walking shorts and white Tee shirts as well.
I didn't surrender, but they took my horse and made him surrender. They have him pulling a wagon up in Kansas I bet.

I'm all packed and ready to go. Is it raining in America-shire - do I need my mac? I've got some sandwiches and a family size bottle of pop. Mustn't forget my cricket bat - may as well teach 'em something useful while we're there.

Good point, I'd forgotten the picnic, I'll get some orangeade while I think about it... It may not be raining in America-shire, but I guess we could swap the weather with California in particular. I'd take the Mac just in case, as well as some warm undies, never hurts to be prepared.
Are you up for driving the bus? Freddy was asking for volunteers...

Yeh I don't mind driving. I'm already in Devon so if you're in Cornwall I'll pick you up as I go past. I'll bring my guitar so we can sing songs along the way. We'd better fill up at Penzance - I don't think there's a garage til we reach New York. Do we need passports to invade or shall we just wade in and scream rather loudly?
