    Question sound blaster awe 64 midi error...HELP!

    I know that the awe 64 is ancient, but whenever i start my old computer an error message appears saying:
    AWE 64 MIDI SYNTH
    Cannot load default synth bank
    ***read error in C:\windows\system\synthgm.sbk***

    I have tried replacing the file but it still comes up.

    The specs are:
    pentium 200mhz CPU
    128mb RAM
    voodoo3dfx graphics card
    windows 98 SE
