Hello, ALL!
I'm trying to capture DV stream through the FireWire device.
Since I have got the notebook computer (WinXP) with a slow harddrive I've bought:
- PCMCIA IEEE1394a STLab C-120 card
- Genesys external box with FireWire2IDE brige
- SAMSUNG 160G 7200RPM harddrive with NTFS filesystem
During the capture I have a "Delayed write to G:\$Mft failed"
I've tried to write to the harddrive large files with on pretty high speed (even more then DV videostream bandwith ) and got no problems.
I've tried to create a lage file on a harddrive, remove it and make defragmentation. I this case I've achieved non-fragmented 75% free MFT. And I had not problems in capturing DV stream after that.
I think there is error in one of the drivers - problems with dynamic allocation of MFT
Has anybody ever had such problems?
Thaks in advance,
George Fedotoff
