And this is also why a few people have stayed.
I’ve never used the view new posts option, I always scroll through the index, then open each forum that has activity in a separate window, then mark all forums as read when I reach the end of the list, then go to all the new windows and open each thread individually. So I personally never see the new post in that manor. It is kind of funny seeing it though...

You now have all the political threads over in the Politicos forum, away from the lounge and other places. What is your complaint?

There's no panic like the panic you momentarily feel when you've got
your hand or head stuck in something

It seems we are beating a dead horse with this, as even I have given up. So, until DriverDude upgrades to the version of vbulletin that allows new post listings to leave out "techville", then we have to live with it, I would think.
Besides, the Lounge and Politico's are fun sometimes. I remember when you used to have fun Doc. In chat as well. Remember?

I feel obligated to come out of lurker status to state my view:
I am SOOO glad that the Politicos Forum was created. In the days leading up to the split there were more political mud-slinging polls/posts than even fit on a single page. Many times I considered not coming to Windrivers simply because the belligerence of certain posters about political matters in the Lounge.
I think the Lounge was SAVED by the split. I see everyone having a pretty good time in the Lounge (Exceptions exist: Spork, etc.). But generally it made the Lounge a place where people can pretty much talk about anything (save politics) without a whole lot of angry people spam-posting political polls until your subject is off the front page.
Now let me say I DO sometimes look in Politicos, but I'm not dreading 20 heated political shouting matches in the Lounge.
THANK YOU ADMINS for Creating Politicos!
THANK YOU POSTERS for keeping the politics in Politicos and for keeping everything else IN the Lounge.
Here is one poster that appreciates your efforts.
