Multimedia Audio Controller Driver Needed! Specs included:

I'm having a very difficult time with finding drivers for my Multimedia Audio Controller.

Recently, I had to update my Motherboard BIOS, and after I did so, everytime I reboot it says I am missing drivers for my MAC.

    My following specs are:

    Manufacturer: Intel
    ID: 00000F29 BFEBFBFF
    Version: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00 GHZ
    AMIBIOS ROM Size: 512 KB
BIOS Build Date: Feb 23 2004
    Motherboard Manufacturer Code: 0097
    AMIBIOS Build Tag: P4P81097

    Sound Card: Sound Blaster Live!
    Installed: LiveDriver-Pack
    Installed: LiveDriver-Patch [both from Soundblaster.com]

I have tried installing both the regular Sound Blaster Live! Drivers set and the Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 Drivers set, but neither solve the missing MAC driver problem.

Do I need to post anything else? Thanks

Welcome to windrivers Lyte. Is the Soundblaster Live an add-in card? If so, you need to go into your bios and disable the motherboard's onboard sound. It is likely that when you updated your bios, the settings were reset to their defaults, enabling the onboard sound.

(Your motherboard appears to be one of the variations of the Asus P4P800, however, Asus lists 11 different versions on their web site. You would need to take a look at the board if you want more specifics.)

If the above doesn't solve your problem, you are missing the intel chipset drivers: http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scri...6&DwnldID=7484
Probability factor of one to one...we have normality, I repeat we have normality. Anything you still can't cope with is therefore your own problem.

    Thanks Hudson!

You were right, after I updated my Motherboard BIOS, it reset itself to default settings, and I had to disable my onboard sound.

After I disabled it, my MAC drivers missing problem vanished
