cheap software
Hello all,
I often get junk mail from companies hocking software at outrageously low prices, most of which I just assume are a scam. But, I continuously get the one listed below. Normally, my rule is that if the company does not list their address and telephone number on the website, then I assume that they are not legit. This company does not have this info. on their site, but I've been receiving this email for around a year and a half and in that time I have checked their site and it has never been offline or at a different URL than a previously listed address. Has anyone ever purchased from this company or heard about anyone that has? I'm not going to buy from them unless I find out more info about them but the prices are way too tempting.
Here is the email I'm getting:

I just glanced over the site. Seems like the new software is priced competitively. the like new software seems to come from third parties, ala E bay. People put up their used software for sale, and this site offers it. Buyer beware, I would say...

Like-new software? I just checked the site again and can't say that I see any software listed as "like new". I'm not saying you're wrong, but could you link me to one of these locations on their site? All of the software I've seen is listed as OEM software, but a good deal of it seems lower than other OEM software prices I've seen.

Well I do apologize. I saw your title of cheap software, so I put that in the address window and hit enter. Cheapsoftware.com.

OK ladies and gents, I have answered my own question. I found this link from The Register which names OEM Solutions, LTD (the name listed at the bottom of the website I listed earlier) specifically as a known seller of illegal commercial software. I also read that Adobe has never offered Acrobat or Photoshop as OEM software (they did offer Photoshop Elements as OEM however) so if you see either listed as OEM on any site, you know how to react. I figured it was too good to be true.

Yes, it's definitely pirated. Avoid at all costs!
