new iMac
i've never been an Apple fan...or of any all-in-one computer...but THIS is an intriguing design. $1,299 for the 17 incher. what do you think? and who will be the first to offer an INTEL based system like this? or is there already one that i dont know about?

yeh...there is that...but then again there are people that use notebooks as their only computer...so...

From what I inderstand, you can wall-mount the whole computer (using a VESA arm), which will give you the ability to swing the computer out of the way when not in use.
I wouldn't touch one though, not now I'm set on getting an iBook or PowerBook

IBM has something similar...I have about 120 of them here in house. Neat lil units other than the hdd's that crash all the time... Not quite as sleek as the iMac, but the same concept.

I'm not sure where you guys get the overheating comments, macs actually run pretty damn cool compared to X86 type machines

Yeah, I've got an old Mac with a dead fan, and it runs just fine....doesn't run anything, but it sits there and loads an OS with no problem.

Using a mac I didnt figure you expected it to run anything except the OS, other wise you would not have bought a mac!

It looks cool, but the foot looks kind of small.
I don't get this pic though. Kind of like advertising X-box for it's word processing applications... Why, here's a game you can't play on our machine, wouldn't it look nice though...
