    Question Creating Images of DVD+R's

I have been making backup images, stored on my
Hard Drive) of DVD's that I created from VHS tapes that I have. The DVD's were created on a Philips DVDR985 DVD Recorder with DVD+R disks. Most backup without a problem. A few get "read errors" and the backup aborts. For the ones that fail, I have tried different DVD readers, and different PC's. The DVD+R disks are new with no scratches or finger marks. The failing DVD's will all play in all of my DVD players (Standalone and PC) without a problem.
I have tried both Sonic Record Now (Came with my Sony USB DVD Burner) and a demo version of Nero. Both fail and abort with these few DVD's with no image created.
Is there a way to get the errors ignored or is there possibly other DVD image create/burn software that I should check out?

    DVD Decryptor 3.5.4.0 should work....

There are a few DVD's that have "dead" or ghost sectors. These sectors are not read by the player but are read when a copy is performed. DVD Decryptor will log these sectors and then insert them back in when the image is ripped to your HD. THen use DVD Shrink to burn to DVD.

Sadly DVD-Decrypter has been shutdown recently as the courts rules it was assisting in piracy related actions. And a few copycats are going around claiming to have improved it, whereas they are just clones and have spyware/malware, so be careful. Although it still is a very good application.
