Reoccuring Display Problem
Operating Sys: Win XP Pro SP2
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 2 MX/MX 400
I had an old 21" CRT monitor and when displaying ay 32 bit colour I could see white 'greyish' vertical lines down the left hand side of the screen. As it was an old monitor I assumed it could not support that colour mode.
However, having got my new 17" TFT today I'm having the same problem! Only the lines show in 16 bit too! So I'm thinking it might be a graphics card problem. I disabled nvidia and used default windows display drivers and the lines were worse, over the whole screen.
They show up most on a white background. Hard to describe, if u actually stare at them long enough without blinking, they seem to disappear! lol
Can anyone help? Its drivin me mad, have to have the brightness up at nearly 100% when they are much less visible!
Cheers

Your card has gone south. If you can get your hands on a spare/cheap card, toss it in there and see if the problem goes away. I bet it will.
