256 MB FlashDrive freezes Win2k
Hi,
I have an MSI 845PE (Intel chipset based) with 6 on-board USB ports; after upgrading Win2k to SP4 and all critical and recommended updates, I can no longer plug a 256 MB flash drive in the optional ports (e.g. front panel or bracket); it will only work if I plug it in the direct ports, otherwise the machine will freeze completely.
A 128 MB flash drive has no problems, it works on any port.
I have uninstalled the usb and remote storage devices several times, following a procedure I found in this forum (safe mode, disable from devices, disable from bios, restart, etc.), but no success.
Please, any ideas?
Thanks.
