Still having problems with GFI Mail Essentials
Hi,
It has been almost 2 weeks since I installed the eval. version of GFI MailEssentials version 10. I have been problems with emails being "stuck" in the exchange server "queue".
I contacted tech support at GFI. I installed the basiclog.dll update patch. I was not able to put it in the Mail Essentials directory, because " There is a sharing voilation. The source or destination file may be in use". Now, per the patch directions, all listed services and their dependants were stopped, while the file was added.
Everything, however, seemed better, emails were no longer sitting in the queue, although I did receive some emails a day late.
Anyhoo, I came in today, to find the queue full again.
When I tried to stop and restart exchange services, SMTP gets "stuck" on stopping, making it necessary to reboot.
Once rebooted, the emials get delivered, although not immediately.
Anyone have any ideas?
