Conextant
I have a Conextant 56k softmodem and cannot find updated rivers anywhere for it.....tried there website and everything with no luck
anyone have any ideas where i can find the drivers?

If you read this page
http://www.conexant.com/products/modems.asp
you will notice that Conexant does NOT make modems, only the chipsets for them. Thus, you modem was NOT made by Conexant. Check the modem carefully for other identification to figure out who the manufacturer is. Sometimes there is an FCC ID on the board that will tell you who the made it. If you just have a model number, you can do a search on the Internet to see if someone else has encountered the same modem and knows who made it.

I messed the last post up, sorry.
I also have a Conexant soft56 modem with FCC #409tai-27413-m5-e.
The number does not match anything at the FCC. The chip is a Rockwell RS56-PCI. No othe ID I can find.Any suggestions?

If you are running WINDOWS 9X, you can try running the standard modem drivers. They work very well with some modem, sometimes better then the drivers that came with modem.
