DEMO: Need for Speed Underground 2
Electronic Arts has released a playable demo (local US mirror ~ 362MB) for Need for Speed Underground 2, offering the first opportunity to check out this upcoming street racing simulation sequel by their Black Box studio. The demo includes "the Downhill drift and Circuits tracks available in Free Roam, Quick Race and Online modes, additional Free Roam content, and the Car Lot and Specialty Shop, all drivable in the Nissan 350Z." The massive 362MB can also be downloaded from FileFront, 3DGamers, WP, FileRush, FileShack, GameSpotDLX, NFS Unlimited.
Need for Speed Underground 2 is scheduled for release on the PC and all current generation consoles on November 9th (EBGames)

DUUUUUUDE. I wonder if you can import your cars from NFS 1 into NFS2 ala tiger woods games by EA. Ihave a kickass fully loaded Skyline on my xbox and I'd love to have import.

NFS U2 is a definate purchase for me in teh next coming weeks, its improved so much from Undergound 1.

D/Ling it now. I have most the NFS series, always loved them, except Porche Unlimited and Hot Pursuit 2.

Yeah, I am defiinitely going to pick this game up. Everything about it is 5x better than the original. I love the explore world option.
AMD athlon XP 1700, 320 MB Ram, 40 gig hd, ATI Radeon 9700 w/128mb RAM ... awaiting upgrade

THe Freeroam feature makes this game excellent. Also the hydros and bounces!
Larommi why didnt u like PU, it was a great game!

Electronic Arts has already issued the first patches for Need for Speed Underground 2 ~ 4.8MB, updating the US and European editions of their street racing simulation sequel to version 1.1. Details on the changes in this release are however not available.

Who wants to go head to head online, preferably in a quick drag race? I'm terrible at the circuits right now. This is my first experience with the Need For Speed series. What type of controller works best? I am trying to use Microsoft's Precision Racing - steering wheel and pedals.
Great game btw, (PC version) - :tup

The only time I ever used anything buy K/B for playing the NFS series was in Porsche, I used the MS Steering Wheel and Pedals, after that to play well, I just stuck to the K/B.
