Hope everything works out and you are not too cramped in your temporary lodgings. Any idea what caused the fire?
Glad no one was hurt

just echoing the sentiment

Thanks for your thoughts. I have a couple pics available but I'm not familiar with how to post them.
The first started in the tv/vcr/dvd player. Not sure how it started, but that's what started it.
When they were inspecting the house, they asked me about my computer room in the basement... I was like "umm, I had a computer room on the second floor". Everything fell through the floor, through the livingroom, and into the basement. Amazing.
I am glad no one was hurt. And they are just "things", but when it's your "things" and it's every"thing"... A bit much to swallow.
LUCKY I had some home videos from this past summer taping the ENTIRE house before the fire. Those videos are going to be super-valuable.

Yes. Without realizing Drew had posted this, I made another thread titles similarly. Mine is for WOTPP purposes,.. this thread is serious. If I had seen this thread originally, then I probably wouldn't have started the other thread. So sorry for any confusion that comes out of it.

Sorry drew. It sounds like you have insurance though, so that should help take off some of the pressure. And you still have your memories and your health and your job. Things could have been a lot worse. Just make sure you give your family a big hug

Yes, I'm at work. Nothing else to do at this point. The house is being torn down Monday and the rebuild process will begin in February.

Sure am glad no one got hurt. It is tough, but you will emerge on the other side of all this as a stronger person with a better perspective.
