You are right, it does supports 2x. Just enter the BIOS via pressing Delete button wile it is booting up in POST. Some boards require F2 instead. Change the setting from the BIOS.

Have you searched the BIOS options? If not, it must be there.

    For more info....

I've searched BIOS and cant find anything relating to changing to 2X. Anyone know of any programs that will go into bios and set this for me? (its obviously a hidden setting)

Thanks for the website thou I already had it bookmarked

I have changed it before with some program (I think), but I just installed a geforce 2 card and I think it reset itself because using Sandra Sisoft it registered as 2x with my old tnt2 card and now reads 1x

BIOS: AMI 3/02/2000 ver 1.3 (if that means anything to anyone )

Hope the more info helps, I need to solve this problem....

I don't know how you changed it before, but if there's not an option on the BIOS, then the motherboard doesn't support AGP 2X.

    I can't remember if this motherboard supports 2X, but that's a rule.

try to install NVmax that will tweak your Windows settings
    http://www.nvmax.com/main/news/load.shtml

as for the hardware settings, if you son't find a setting in your BIOS there are two options

    1. get a bios update (it still might not have that option..)

    2. your board has auto-detect of AGP speed..

    For Aliendyne,

The board supports it...if you follow the above link iridium posted

I have set it before and it has registered on sandra sisoft(and had a nice performance increase with 3dmark2000)...Just cant remember the program I used to tweak the hidden setting......I have updated the bios to the latest 1.8 and was hoping to have the option avail but no luck.
As for condors answer of auto detect dunno but if that was true it should be set at its max of 2X with the geforce 2 GTS 4X max. Nvmax is no help either....Thanks anyways!

Just hoping someone out there has an answer...

You should have NVMAX load on startup for a quick check.
