    Look what I found!!!

Went to a rummage sale about a week ago and found an Saitek R4 Force Feedback wheel and pedals being sold for $20.

Didn't know if it worked or not, so I decided not to get it. When I left, I was told they were having a "bag" sale later on; anything you can put in a bag for $2.

Needless to say, I went back and my wife and I packed to bags full of different things being sold including the wheel. So I actually bought it for less than $2!!!

Got home and searched online for drivers/software only to find that Saitek didn't support the wheel (uses a gameport; powered my Microsoft Force Feedback Technology) in XP. I was very, very upset over this at both Saitek and Microsoft.

Searched a bit more and found a hardware mod that basically converts the wheel to a Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback wheel which works in XP!!!

    Saitek Force Feedback Wheel: >$2
    DSL connection: $30
    Hardware mod: $0

Now you just need to get a decent racing game. Hot Pursuit is stinky.

Hmm, got a Saitek R440 wheel. It is very nice indeed. Only cost about €75 new.

    Saitek are the best.

Colin Mcrae 2004 is very good and very difficult (well for me anyway). Haven't tried 2005 yet but I heard it was a blast.

The first PU was a lot of fun and the only NFS game to hold my interest.

Underground 2 is simply amazing, get the demo and then order the game, I'm just waiting for the game to come out, I got the entire NFS series all teh way from one, Porsche UNleashed was a good one, High Stakes was good too.

@emr, did u get Xpand Rally or CMR?
