Nethood - WLan
Hi, pls help!
I recently bought a D-Link wlan card DWL-G650+ which I installed and it worked like a dream last week. I am running win98 on an Acer 342T notebook. Then in an effort to make the computer run faster, I ran Ad-aware SE and deleted all files that were flagged as I usually do. I seem to recall that one of the items is a directory Nethood but I still selected it and fixed it. Well, this morning I was not able to connect even though the wlan card was able to connect to the router hub. Does this have to do with the deletion in Nethood, the directory is now empty. I have reinstalled the lan card and result is still the same. I can still connect by cable to dsl hub. Should I just copy nethood files from win98. Unfortunately, after the adaware fix, I ran disk clean and defrag, and so lost all recycle bin contents.
I desperately need to connect because of my work, so would really appreciate anybody's help.
thks, peter
