Halo 2 requires DVD playback kit to play the game?
*** EDIT *** Problem had a low-tech solution. I returned the game to Electronics Boutique and got a replacement copy, which worked just fine... funny... because the one that didn't work for us worked great on the store demo system... oh well, who cares, problem solved. Thanks for the tips.
Anyone got the game yet, and if so, have you run into this problem? Am I screwed, and just have to go buy the damn thing?
Clam Jr. is threatening a hunger strike if I don't get his game going soon...

You must've got that special platinum edition one? There are two versions you know. There are two discs in that platinum one. One for game and one for DVD viewing of behind the scenes stuff. You might've put the DVD disk in instead of the game disk.

Btw,.. sadly, I have to play it on "easy" level. "Normal" is too difficult for me.

No, only one disc in the package, and it was sealed from the store... Electronics Boutique trade-in special, three used games for a new Halo II disc.
I haven't been able to find any mention of this happening to anybody anywhere on the Internet, so it can't be a common problem (yet).
Wonder what the heck is going on here?
