    Pioneer DVR-108

    Hello

    Is there something I can tweak to make this drive close automatically when I shut down my computer? I have a NU-Rite dvd write drive and it closes by itself.
    I have updated the last firmware for the drive and I thought that might help.
    I guess this is a quirk of mine but I just hate seeing that tray hanging out on shutdown. Is there something you can suggest for this. I did call pioneer and the said I have to call Microsoft.

    Welcome to windrivers nelrod1. Probably not. You will have to remember to reach over and press the button on the front of the drive to close the tray before you shut down your computer.
    Probability factor of one to one...we have normality, I repeat we have normality. Anything you still can't cope with is therefore your own problem.

    Thanks for your quick reply! So your saying that not all drives are designed to close by themselves? And the next time I buy one, should I ask about this to the maker of the drive?
