Winxp+915gav Org Intel Mobo

I have decided to buy New pinless 3Ghz cpu+ 915GAV intel org mob.
I want to install winodws xp on the m/c could any one plz tell me installation issues realted to winxp & 915GAV motherboard. & what precautation to be taken.

Hi all,

There’s a erious problem I’m facing now: no matter what is the OS I’m using, the Graphics Driver doesn’t work. I downloaded it from Intel’s page for 915GAV, tried the one I got with the board, tried different operating systems (Windows 2000, XP Home Edition 32 bit, XP Professional 32 bit, XP Professional 64 bit) but failed to install the graphics driver. When I install it, the monitor stops displaying and I can’t even switch it off!!!!!!! This happens when I setup the Windows XP 64 bit edition (before installing any diver separately).

Is this a problem with the motherboard? I’m using P4 (3 GHz) 531 processor (64 bit)? Anybody who has solved this problem with 915GAV board?
