Dialup Password
I have a dialup connection that adds to the password. The password is 7 digits, when the dialup comes up, the saved password is 16 digits. I have removed and redid the dialup but it doesnt change. How do I get rid of the password that is in there now so I can save the correct one.
I know in 98 it was the .pwl file. Is it the same in XP Home? I couldnt find it when I did a search. That is the only thing that is password protected on this machine.

You're running XP, aren't you?
On dialup, the password is "masked" by the OS....I ran into the same on my home PC's. 8-character passwrod, but 16 "dots" fill the field.
M$'s idea was to make it a little harder to guess at the number of characters in a password.
It is too late to fix America via the Republicans or Democrats, and too early to start shooting the bastards.
