Ive erased my standby option
Ive got a laptop and now when I close the lid, it dosnt go on to stanby.
This happened after a box came up asking me if I wanted to use the standby and I thinkI clicked on no instead of yes...
Ive looked in 'Power Managment' under advanced tab, but the standby option has gone, argghhhhhhh HELP purleeess x
Im on windows 98

You might try removing the Power Management Controller from the Device Mangler under System Devices and rebooting to allow Windows to redetect and reinstall it, WITH the standby option showing up.

Thanks for your help, I tried both of those things suggested but nothing has worked. I insatlled the more advanced version of power managment, tried everything I could but no change and I have aslo deleted the Power Management Controller but windows didint find it again so concequencly I have no power managment....arggggghhhhhhhhh
What do I do now??????? x
