Accton ISA card in WindowsXP

Hey

Im having difficulties installing a very old network card in Windows XP. Im not sure what card it is exactly but it says Accton on it, and on one of the chips its says MPX2 EN5025A. Thats about all I know.

Its an ISA card, and I guess its 10mbit. It would probably be easier just go and buy a new card but Ive tried for 2 days now so I dont want to give up

Ive found drivers for some other cards with the same chip but I have to choose IRQ and IO range manually and I dont know what to use. Ive altso assigned IRQ 3 for ISA in the bios..

So can anyone help me?

Use $15 and get a new card. XP doesn't support many ancient cards.
On the other side try to force a RTL8139 driver, might just work...

Also may try an NE2000 driver like in the old days (need to know the I/O and IRQ). But I would say, buy a new card. Save the headache and bashing of the computer with a baseball bat.

You can get the drivers from Microsoft for an ISA NE2000 card. You do indeed need to know the IRQ and MEM address. If it's a newer one, you might be able to set it for Plug & Pray...

However, I'd wait for a sale on a FREE card (w/rebate) and at least have a 10/100 PCI card, but - that's just me.

I went and bought a new card today so I give up on the isa.. you get one for $10 here so that wasnt the problem, I just didnt want to give up when I started

But it looks like the isa card won
