ftp in XP SP2 problem, need help
i am using XP sp2 now, and either ftp in xp iis or using serv-U not working with port open, also if the firewall is shut off in xp too, still not working, can anyone help me, i really need to use ftp server setup in my computer.

In the security center, under advanced, uncheck your network connection. If it works create the appropriate firewall rule and re-enable it.

i had tried that and the ftp still not working. please tell me more how can i do to have my ftp server works on my computer, i had try to use port scan online, and seems like no ports are open. so i have no clue what should i do.
Some ISP's are blocking port 21. Also are you behind a router?

my isp don't block any port and i am not behind any router, it works on sp1 before, but since i got the sp2 it stop workings, and i had use port scan tools online,and seems like all ports in my computer are closed.

Let's take a more radical approach.
Go to the control panel, under administrative tools, services.
Locate the service "WindowsFirewall/Internet connection sharing" and stop it. Then start your FTP server and check if it works.

i had try that too, not working with either IIS FTP or serv-U, should i use passive mode on the serv-U?
