Domain names in Arabic on way.
Internet domain names could be made available in Arabic for the first time, according to the secretary-general of the International Telecommunications Union (ITU). Yoshio Utsumi said experts are now considering how to implement such a move.
"The ITU is working on having multi-language domain names," he said in a meeting with journalists yesterday at the Ritz-Carlton Bahrain Hotel and Spa. "At this minute there is a big discussion going on about who should administer domain names."
