    centrino wireless adapter turned off?

My office just gave me a new Dell D600 with Centrino technology. They did not activate the centrino wireless technology because it was causing some kind of network problems. Those issues are now resolved, but they refuse to activate the wireless because they say I don't need it (huge stingy corporation). I don't need the wireless to function at work anyway, but I would like to be able to use it with my home network. I installed and ran the Intel Centrino Mobile Technology Test Utility from intel's website, and the following is what it returned. Does anyone know how I can turn on the Centrino wireless network adapter, and any drivers that I might need along with it? Thanks in advance for reading this!!!

Oh, and my OS is Windows 2000 Pro

You usually press the Fn [function key] and F2 to enable the internal wireless device or you can turn it on in the bios as for drivers they should load automatically provided the system is installed correctly. Are you sure they didnt judst remove the wireless card?

I don't think the system was installed correctly, that is the problem. They did not remove the wireless card. I spoke with one of the techies at work and he told me that it was possible to enable it, but he was not allowed to do it or tell me how. He said it was imaged without the wireless enabled, or something of that nature.

There are ten listings there...are any of these the one I am looking for?

I should also note that I am currently using a 2Wire wireless adapter that plugs into the side slot, so whatever comes with that is now installed.

    UPDATE!!!

I pressed F2 when the system was booting up, and the Wireless was disabled. I changed it to "enabled."

Now what? Do I need some drivers or an application to make the wireless card work?

    UPDATE #2

After enabling the wireless, I downloaded a driver from Dell's website. I had to try a few before I got the right one. I'm up and running.

    Thanks for the advice!!
