trident sound card and xp pro

I installed XP pro and my sound card does not work anymore. (4D wave(NX) PCI audio from Trident microsystems)
I downloaded drivers on driver guide web site (4Dwave-DXNX), installed it but I still have the problem. (No sound.......)

Welcome to windrivers seb. First of all, you are talking about a very old sound card. Secondly, Trident no longer makes sound chips. The problem w/ sites like driver guide is that anybody can upload anything - you are not getting drivers from the manufacturer. There is a link to W2K drivers made by Hoontech http://www.hoontech.com/english/down...oundcards.html Would appear to be your best bet. Otherwise, I think you are looking at buying a new sound card.
