    just reinstalled XP Pro on Dell M60 - no sound: Code 28 error

    Hi,

    Just reinstalled reinstalled XP Pro on Dell M60 and now have no sound.

    In device manager I have big yellow question mark (Code 28 error)
    next to

    ? Other Devices
    ? base System Device
    ? ethernet controller
    ? multimedia audio controller
    ? network controller
    ? video controller (VGA Compatible)

    Have tried dell driver disc, xp pro disc and spent at least 6 hrs trying find solution. Can anyone help please??

    Welcome to windrivers steve. All the drivers for your system are here: http://support.dell.com/support/down...&os=WW1&osl=EN
    Install in the following order: chipset drivers, video driver (you'll need to determine which of the two you have), network driver (broadcom, plus whichever wireless you have), audio drivers
    Probability factor of one to one...we have normality, I repeat we have normality. Anything you still can't cope with is therefore your own problem.
