cdr in a toshiba satellite notebook
Hey to all,
thanks in advance for your help and or effort.
ok here we go, about 3 weeks ago my dvd/cd-r drive started dissapearing, tried the reg edit which worked on and off, restarts, roll back, reinstalled the driver.
new problem started today, I put a cd I'd burnt and used 2 days prior and now it won't read, say the formatt is unreadable.
the driver is ok in device manager and in bios it's present.
I am running windows XPhome and my notebook model number is satelitte 1135-s125
the DVD/CDR combo drive is a toshiba SD-R2412
please help, i'm beyond frustrated
Cheers
Adam

Go to http://www.dougknox.com There's a zip file under 'Restore CD/DVD Drives to Explorer' in the XP Fixes section. Kelly's Korner has a download for that in the Tweaks section as well plus lots of other fixes. Good luck.
