I haven't personally used it, but I've heard good things about it. There are plenty of reviews out there. Here are a few:

Haven't really had time to bang on it yet and not sure it's worth it until the final release comes out (I have the "preview" version) but from what I've seen it seems to be smooth, performs well, has good hardware support.

uhh as far as im aware the final version is out... im 99% sure thats what i downloaded yesterday

well for about 3.7 million dollars you can buy a sun 72 cpu server that should run it just fine
