    Question Need drivers FOR Dynex DX-DVDRW8

    Dynex DX-DVDRW8 Bought it but didn't come with drivers. Where could I download. THANKS

    Hi tcros98, welcome to Windrivers.

    Your Dynex does not need any specific drivers, all versions of Windows from 98 on should recognise and accept it without problems.

    What I think you need are the writing and reading software to enable you to read, watch & write DVD's & CD's. This you'll probably have to buy. Nero 6 or Roxio Easy CD Creator 7 are probably the most popular. (There is a native writing utility in Windows XP but it's not very versatile.)

    For watching DVD movies there are a few free utilities available but I would recommend buying Power DVD or WinDVD, neither are very expensive and both work really well.

    A problem with buying an OEM drive is that these utilities are often not included. Occasionally it is better to pay a little extra for a retail box, which will come with the utilities....
