    Symantec and Veritas, perfect together.
    Sometimes the light’s all shinin’ on me;
    Other times I can barely see.
    Lately it occurs to me what a long, strange trip it’s been.

    This is really sad, Veritas is a wonderful software, I have deployed it in hundreds of servers, and reccommended it to even more clients.

    I have a feeling that symantec will come in and make the streamlined software unstable as it's (Symantec's) other software suites, by hogging precious system resources on unnecessary services, and features. Whlie providing mediocre protection.

    I seriously hope that Backup Exec does not fall as many others have in this ordeal.

    Just my Two cents . . . .

    On December 16, 2004, Symantec Corp. and VERITAS Software Corp. announced a definitive agreement to merge in an all-stock transaction.
