Camera physically unplugged computor disagrees
Help. I had an intel qx3 microsope (really a camera) installed. I have uninstalled it and unplugged it. The computer says it is installed and working. I am using xp pro.
When I use the devise manager to remove it it goes thru the mottions of uninstalling the qx3 but whenI check it informs me that it is still connected. I wish to use Camtasia Studio and I cannot because it only can deal with one capture devise. How do I free myself fron thiis cybertross?

Thanks so much for taking the time to answer. Yes I have done all the
obvious things such as reinstalling. I not only reinstalled but hooked up
the microscope (camera), made sure it worked. Then I uninstalled it and
unplugged it. Same result. I know that intel was aware of the problem
because they issued the following to be added with regedit.
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Vision\QX3 Microscope]
"UseOldBrightness"=dword:00000001
"NoDataValue"=dword:0000008b
"CameraFault"=dword:00000000
"CameraPresent"=dword:00000000
I am sure that it can be solved with the registy but I do not know enough
about that. If "CameraPresent" =dword:00000000, What is the opposite?
And would changing just that make a difference?
I have tried working wither the devise manager. I hope that gives you more
of an understanding of my problem.
