GeCube Radeon 9200SE 128MB GameBuster drivers...
boot...error report...game on...BSOD.
reboot...error report...web surf...game on...BSOD
reboot...error report...adware and virus scan...attempt to do anything...BSOD
reboot...error report...idle...BSOD.
BSOD's really, really suck.
I've tried so many drivers for this...same problems...even the original drivers and the windblows update(s).
My specs:
Win XP Pro SP2
900MHz AMD T-bird
256 mb ram
60 gig HD with lots of space
DX 9.0c
Saitek rumble force gamepad (USB)
ASUS K7M Mobo
Mozilla Firefox
CTX monitor
Sound Blaster Live! 5.1
and, of course, the GeCube Radeon 9200SE Gamebuster (powered by ATI)
the ATI drivers are hard to find, becasue the new catalyst drivers don't cover the 9200's
the GeCube drivers...and the site...don't get me started.
I will try any and all drivers even mentioned.
Oh yeah, the BSOD's are for ati2dvag.dll, ati3duag.dll, a couple win32k.sys
I have a GeForce 4 MX 440 that I'm tempted to swap to, just to see if it will have close to the same problems or what, but the 440 only has 64 mb ram. I want that 128!
It is an AGP card, but my board only runs up to 2x, but since the system is unstable because of the drivers, it always defaults to 1x.
GRRR! Help! I'll provide any information asked.
I receive the errors mostly when plaing GTA3, Need for Speed Underground, and Everquest. I have heard the suggestion to do a clean install of XP Pro with my CD Key (thanks to the Magical Jellybeans) but I bought the compy used, without the XP disks. (I know, I should have got them)
I have another 12 GB HD that I'm not using but it's connected, and in FAT-32 instead of NTFS. could that be causing some of the trouble? I had the problems before installing the HD. I'm also using the HD for some virtual memory...is that a bad thing? can I use all 12 GB for virtual memory?
thanks everyone!
My specs: 900 MHz AMD T-Bird, Asus K7M Mobo., 256 MB RAM (two 128 MB Kingston SD PC-100), GeCube Radeon 9200 SE 128mb (drivers were impossible to find...still crashes because of them every now and then...i think its them...), Sound Blaster Live! 5.1, new high-speed USB 2.0 card, dual 60 GB HDD's for the heck of it (NTFS), XP Pro SP 2, Mozilla Firefox ( Spread Firefox!), single-barrel carberator, Saitek P2500 Rumbleforce, (Yes, the system is dated, but it fits my budget!) - Sockhatguy

Well seems as though you've tried mostly everything, why not try that card swap and see if it works, maybe your 9200 is busted!
